Dark Knight - Could have been better
I watched The Dark Knight last night. Here is a list of things the filmmakers could have done to improve the experience:
1) Make it better.
2) Add some intense.
3) Change one thing.

ReplyDeleteAn animatronic puppet of the Russian Ballet dancer (Bruce Wayne's "girlfriend") was built but eventually scrapped for the film by Stan Winston Studios. It stood 10 feet tall and weighed 800 pounds, and was built on a set of gimbals to simulate walking. It required five operators to run it.

ReplyDeleteThe fundraiser scene was initially intended as a stage for several musical numbers. Students from 8 local elementary schools practiced for several months in preparation for the "maypole dance."
ReplyDeleteChristian Bale was so impressed with his intimidating stage presence while wearing the batman suit that at one point he insisted on wearing the suit while filming a scene as Bruce Wayne. He argued that the costume designers could put a 3 piece suit over the Batman suit. He maintained this position until he was finally assuaged by the catering group which offered him a cup of Sunny D.
ReplyDeleteOriginally rated PG by the MPAA, the rating was later changed to PG-13 upon discovery of a hidden "easter-egg" scene depicting the Joker strictly admonishing a Rottweiler. The ensuing legal brouhaha nearly caused the cancellation of the films release.
