This is where acquaintances of Paul and Joel can come to read higher frequency (albeit lower quality) blog entries. If you want quality blog entries, please visit The Saga or Retrospect
How many times have I told you to stop eating at the computer??
ReplyDeleteWait, that's what Paul says to me.
MMMMM A lettuce and miracle whip sandwich!
ReplyDeleteFor a brief moment, I thought I was reading the wrong blog - a blog by somebody other than Joel. A blog by somebody who hadn't had years of french literature classes. A blog called, perhaps, the "No Quality" blog.
ReplyDelete"Hey, comment writer! That's a bit harsh, don't you think?" you are no doubt saying out loud. "No, comment reader! It isn't!" I answer in advance. The quality that I have come to expect (although low, as intended by the blog writer, and as indicated by the blog name) did not shine through on this post. Why? Because as I excitedly read the post, I tried in vane to picture the lettuce falling from Joel's mouth onto Joel's keyboard, but without the knowledge of which genus of lettuce (iceberg, romaine, etc.) and what type of keyboard (microsoft, logitech, ergonomic, etc.) all I pictured was a black blob falling down to a black bigger blob. The resulting collision was far from fantastic. In fact, the special effects in the short-lived Saturday morning weekly show "Land of the Lost" were infinitisimally better than what I could muster in my minds eye. And for that, I have no one to blame but the previously distinguished writer of this here blog. And perhaps my mother. But that is a story for another comment.
I hate to type it, but if the quality of this blog does not improve to the quality that the blog title falsely guarantees, I will be forced to send my business elsewhere. And contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau)
Other than that, keep up the good work. I look forward to your next post!
Oh, and just to clarify. I didn't have a problem with the post in it's entirety, just the second line. The first and last lines were terrific. In fact, the way you worded that last line - "This is NOT my day!" - powerful stuff. I'm not ashamed to admit I cried when I read that line.
